Teaching with Moodle

Background:

I represent a technology training institute. We conduct trainings on a batch mode at 2 location.

The setup is:
Location A: Morning batch (b1), Evening batch (b2)
Location B: Morning batch (b3) Evening batch (b4)

The batches b1 and b3 are concurrent as are b2 and b4. This is a year-round activity that goes on with many batches like b5, b6 b7 etc. The standard time for a batch is around 15-20 days.

All the batches attend only one course: X.

Problem:

I was hoping to get suggestions on how to organize Moodle (course [meta/child], and groups) in such a manner that individual schedules can be created and tracked for each batch as a group. The material however should only be stored at one time (as Course X) to prevent duplication, while allowing for custom schedules, (lessons and testwise) for the various batches.
