In or out of classroom, students post questions into Hot Question activity from notebook, netbook, android, iPhone, iPod Touch and other gears which can access the moodle site. Students can also vote on others' questions, so that the hottest questions will be popped up. Teachers can make orally comments on selected questions in classroom.

A few things I wondered, I notice that you have disabled the ability to remove a vote already cast, would it be better to make that an option on the settings screen? Even better, would it be possible to also include (as an option) the ability to add 'down' votes? (I know that is a hotly-debated issue on sites such as Digg, but giving the Teacher the choice might be helpful).
I'm sure you've also considered other features, such as the ability to comment on other student's questions (possibly with the 'Teachers' response being highlighted or with comments themselves having the up/down vote option).
You could also add some features like Google Moderator, such as marking questions as 'answered' or showing a random question and asking students to vote it up or not.
Anyway, those are just some thoughts, overall it still looks like a great little module and I may well be chatting to our site admin about trying it out in college.
The questions are in database so we can delete them from there.
2.open our moodle database
4.Manage your questions: Delete
6. Delete the round you want
All these things can done with php, but someone has to write some code
Zhigang, have you developed this any further? I am looking at using it for one year to pilot it and I just wanted to ensure I grabbed the latest code. I notice you have been active in your Github 2 months ago - should I take that code or the plugin listed on moodle.org??
It looks awesome btw, simple yet functional with some nice subtle functionality, like sorting the questions automatically - nice touch.
I have just recently taken over the job of maintaining the Hot Question add-on. My priority at the moment, is to get it updated so that it works with all the newer versions of Moodle. Be sure and let me know if you have any problems with the new versions I've released. I hope to have more available for Moodle 2.9 and 3.0, soon.
Just updated the current version to 3.0.1 that works for both Moodle 2.9 and 3.0.
It adds a new capability for downloading the questions. An admin download includes ALL questions from ALL the Hot Question activities in a Moodle site. A download by a teacher or manager, includes the questions for just the activity they are currently viewing.
Another new capability is the ability for an admin, teacher, or manager to remove a question. If you want to keep a copy of the question, for whatever reason, you should download before removing as once a question is removed, it is gone and cannot be recovered.
Hello Al, it's really good that you have taken this on.
One small bit of feedback, the timestamp for questions says something like
(3 mins 42 secs ago)
but if you have *just* asked a question it says
