Languages

In the main menu I have links to technical support, .. and so on. For the technical support I tried the below:

<lang lang="en">Technical Support</lang><lang lang="fr_ca">francais</lang>

PS
Does anybody know why moodle keeps removing my closing tags. On the homepage I have a welcoming blurb in english and french. I open the english with <lang lang="en"> and close it after all of the english with</lang>. After every save it removies the closing tag or does this:
<lang lang="en">&nbsp;</lang> "then the english stuff"
<lang lang="fr_ca">&nbsp;</lang>"french stuff"
