Preventing certain roles from seeing resources

Preventing certain roles from seeing resources

Hey,

Our moodle is set up so that any user may view a course if they wish by clicking the enrol button. These users are then enrolled as "guests" on the course to distinguish them from users who are actually "students". This works perfectly well apart from the fact that it may contravene copyright legislation if "guests" can view uploaded PDFs of scanned texts intended for the sole use of the "students" on a particular course.

I'm wondering: is there a way to hide attached resources from specified user roles? I can't see an option for this in the role definitions, but maybe I missed it.

Any suggestions greatly received!

Actually this is an easy response, to an easy issue. Create a set of Roles with the permissions you want them to have. Use those Roles instead of the standard Roles. I must admit it a real surprise it has taken this long to get a response.. Do not understand...
