Hi

I recently setup a new moodle site (internal debian server) running v. 1.9.9

My problem is that I am missing the HTML editor, BUT only the one for the 'Full text' area???
In the 'General' area the HTML editor is displaying and working just fine.

See attached image.

Any help is much appreciated wink

Hi there. The reason you don't have the html editor there is because you have chosen "Add a resource>compose a text page" and that does not give you the html editor options -because the "text page "resource is really meant for pasting in code. If you use instead "compose a webpage" you will get your html editor.

Hi Mary

You sure are right. Don't know how I missed that?
Maybe because it only works in firefox on my mac, and I've had so many other editor issues regarding that.

Are there any easy way of swapping the built in editor with another?

Thanks

There is no "easy" way but I believe you can use a version of the tinymce editor in Moodle 1.9 if you do a search on this site. (I've never done it myself)
