Hello, I Just installed block: email which I obtained from

http://download.moodle.org/download.php/plugins/blocks/email_list.zip

today (July 28th 2010).

I installed into into moodle 1.9.9 and the installation seemed to work fine.

After adding the eMail list block to one of my courses the block does in fact show up and I can view my empty inbox.

However, when I try to compose an email I end up with a blank screen.

Wondering what I can do to fix it or assist with getting a fix written for it.

Hello,

exact same problem here.

I am using Moodle 1.9 + (Build: 20080317). And after the installation of the eMail Block was completed successfully, I am not able to send Mails from within the Block. If I hit the "New emaill-Button",I get a blank screen, as mentioned above already sad The link I end up with is something like: http:// MyMoodleDir /blocks/email_list/email/sendmail.php?course=28&folderid=0
Do I have to change something in the general Moodle eMail-Settings (SMTP or anything else there?)?

Can anyone help me out here?

Same problem here - Moodle 1.9.9, compose mail shows blank screen.

This is what debugging tells me - hopefully somebody can make more sense of it than me smile

Zacharias, Holger, have you solved the problem?

I'd love to use the eMail plugin on my production server for a EU funded project (PELLIC), but so far I couldn't test it due to this problem. Any suggestions would be welcome smile

concerning (what I believe is) the same problem has found a solution - I downloaded the version of email list available from

http://moodle.uib.es/realises/eMail-1.4.3.zip

uninstalled the previous version - and it works! The English lang file will need a bit of revision though..

I had the same problem and I've just resolved changing email_enable_ssl settings to No.
