Problem downloading files = slash arguments

Hi

I have just set up the new VLE for next year and was unable to download MS Office files until I unchecked the "Server > http > Use slash arguments" setting. (1.9.9+ 20100714)

What I don't understand is that this admin setting is checked in this years vle, running on the same server, and files can be downloaded just fine. (1.9.9 20100609)

Any idea what is causing this?

My guess is that you're running IIS 6 and you've set up URL rewriting for the site that is running, but you haven't done this for the new site.

Thanks for the suggestion, but both vle's are running under Linux and Apache.

I am wondering if our institutional ISA server could be interfering somewhere??
