Gradebook

Our teachers tend to prefer the "Sum of Grades" (SUM) grade aggregation method, so I wanted to ask if there are still any restrictions or limitations on the usage of SUM as opposed to other methods.

For example, in Moodle 1.9, excluded grades would not work properly (or at all) with SUM aggregation. I'd like to know if that has continued through to 2.0 or if there is a solution for that.
