you don't need the Hot Potatoes Masher files with the HotPot module in Moodle. Just use the JCloze, JCross, JMatch, JMix and JQuiz files.
It might help to think in terms of the Moodle course page replacing the Hot Potatoes Masher file.
Thanks for the info. I have since found out that you need a licence to use masher on Moodle and they have stopped giving them out. I am presuming that no-one can use masher now on Moodle anyway. I have re-thought the task I have to do and will develop it as a course rather than what I had envisioned before.
I don't think you need a license for the Masher. Hot Potatoes (including the Masher) has been free to use since September 2009.
If you have already set up a chain of Hot Potatoes files - and maybe some other html files - in your Masher, you may want to try the QuizPort module for Moodle. It is the successor to the HotPot module. It is not part of the standard Moodle 1.9 download, but you can download it from the following location and install it on your Moodle site.
