Is it possible to override permissions to allow a course creator (or indeed any role) to be able to confirm users and edit their profiles but NOT to be able to access courses for which they are not teachers
I can set the permissions to be able to browse all users (and delete them)but not confirm and edit them
Essentially I would like a local course administrator to be able to confirm users, enrol them to a course and to edit their profiles

I am working on the same sort of role. I am attempting to do a combo of the admin role and course creator role. The difficult part of this is that you are creating a custom role and selecting certain permissions that you would like from each standard role.

We briefly messed around with a new permission level but it seems to have this kind of permission you get all or nothing - if you suss it out I'd be intrigued to see how you do it
Any luck with this? I need a combo role as well.
