Hi everyone, I'm new to Moodle.
I just want to share a nice experience:
As a student I have been given the opportunity to administer the server on which we installed EasyPHP and Moodle. Considerable progress has been made and I decided to download the english pack for EasyPHP. An innocuous readme file suggested to overwrite some files in the home and www folder. After doing just so and feeling quite smug, I checked the web-site a few minutes later and to my horror the site came up with a directory listing of all the directories under the wwwroot folder. I had inadvertantly overwritten the active index.php file. Fortunately we had a backup of our moodle directory and I was able to restore the correctly configured index.php file.
