We're only a week away from CLAMP's Hack-Doc VI at DePauw. One of the featured enhancements is a grader report that scrolls horizontally and vertically without losing the students or the grade headers (see the ).
  • Greatly simplifies the overall grader report scheme with elimination of nesting and those confounding +-o toggles.
  • Results in the ability to wrap headers for long assignment names.
  • Works around "a ton" of theme inconsistencies with the grader report
  • Unlimited numbers of students -- eliminates paging
  • Works on a PC or a Mac with Firefox, Safari and Chrome (working on IE compatibility)
Special thanks goes out to Jaimon Mathew for his superb JS work that was adapted for this implementation.

This looks great. Is it included in Moodle 2.0?

Many thanks

This grader report is for Moodle 1.9x and is expected to be available through CLAMP in the next few weeks after some rigorous testing at Hack-Doc VI. See here for more information about CLAMP and their "Hack-Doc Fests".

I've been asked to clarify this previous post and editing time is up so here ya go...

This grader report replaces the existing grader report and is for releases of Moodle 1.95 and greater but not for 2.0. I've spent a bit of time looking at 2.0 gradebook code and, on the whole it doesn't appear to be much different than 1.9 except for class refactoring and some rudimentary stuff but (with a REALLY BIG BUTT)... I've spent only a little time looking at it.

Excellent to see new gradebook plugins! This is exactly why the gradebook is designed as a modular system.

Can you please just make sure that it doesn't REPLACE the existing grader directory in Moodle? (ie /grade/report/grader).

If you give it a new name (eg graderclamp) then people can install it and upgrade it without conflicts, and the admin can modify role capabilities to hide the core one and use this one instead, if that's what they want.

Thanks for your input, Martin. The LAE Grader and User reports are standalone plugins so they don't step on existing code, though its recommended that access not be given concurrently with the existing reports.
