can grades be defaulted depending on the outcomes achieved?

can grades be defaulted depending on the outcomes achieved?

I am trying to organise a system where grades are dependant on the outcomes achieved and default in place, for example:

  • if a pupil has altered a variable in a model then they achieve one grade
  • if the pupil has created and added their own formula they achieve a different grade.
  • If a pupil has created their own model they achieve an even higher grade etc.

I feel this would be a good way of solving the APP issue within ICT

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello,
Just to clarify, it still will be a teacher who will decide and mark manually whether a pupil altered something vs created/added?
If your Moodle installation allows scales to be included in aggregation, and if you will set outcomes to be calculated in the course as well, then those can later give you a numeric total.
It is rather tricky to figure out calculations though with the present way of how scales and outcomes work, since they are not a real rubric. So, please make sure to test that on a sample course first.
I would just give a regular numeric grades and use Feedback area to type info about the Level achieved.
