Not sure if this is the correct place for this, but...
I am thinking of moving to a new web host. My current one is very good, but there is not access to phpMyAdmin or GD support and I have a couple of other problems like it slows down quite dramtically when more than 6 or 7 students log on.
Has anyone any experience of doing this? Changing host is not a problem with a standard (and simple) http based website, but I am very worried about setting up a new database. Will I lose all the data? Should my current host be able to let me have a copy of the MySQL database or can I just simply backup using the feature in moodle, start a new database and then restore the information?
I am quite nervous about doing this as my current site is working ok even though I have a couple of issues with the web host - who helps in any way that they can.
