Is there a way to block access to a particular assignment or module to students who haven't yet completed a previous assignment? Can this be implemented across module types? For example, I'd like students to complete a lesson on plagiarism before uploading a research paper into a workshop for peer-review; OR I want students to review a lesson on university policies on use of campus communication technologies (no four-letter-words, spam etc.) before they are allowed to enter a chat room...
I am only exploring at this point and haven't implemented Moodle yet. One work-around I think might be possible is to password-protect a module or assignment and disclose that password on the last page of a lesson. Does this make sense? Any other ideas?

Perhaps, when it is working, it can be implemented into the standard moodle. Contact Martin about this.

Or make it automatic, rather than the student having to type the password, have a link that automatically activates it in the next assignment.
