Because I doing workshops with 30+ students and they have weekly workshop. I am not doing a teacher assessment on every student. Rather students do 3 to 4 assessments and there is a teacher assessment on student's paper where there is more than a 15 point spread between the highest assessment and the lowest assessment. In that case I do a teacher assessment. It means that when I go to calculate the final grade some students have teacher assessment and others do not.
My understanding that the forumla calculating student's submission grade ignores the lack of a teacher assessment and the student grade would be, for example, the average of the 3 student assessments. And where there is a teacher assessment, is the average of the 3 student assessments and the teacher assessment - assuming that the teacher assessment is weighted the same as the student.
Is this correct?
