I'm looking at creating a custom front page and looking for a way to be able to get a list of remote categories without having to connect to each remote host's db.
Is there an easy way to do this with moodle functions? Even if I have to create a custom function?
The myCourses block already gets a list of remote courses I'm just looking for the categories and possibly maybe a list of courses in that category.
Any suggestions out there?
