Microsoft Word-like WYSIWYG Editor?

Microsoft Word-like WYSIWYG Editor?

Good day.

I was wondering if there is a more advanced WYSIWYG plugin (or module, something like that) for Moodle that shares the same (or similar) functionality to other programs like Microsoft Word or OpenOffice .

Thanks for the help!

Hi theresmile What sort of functionality were you looking for in particular? This editor seems ok to me - you can download and install the tinyMCE editor if you prefer that - and it will be standard in Moodle 2.0

Hi.

Well I was looking for something simple, like count words for example. Also, having the Ribbon UI from Office will be pretty cool, we're trying to make our students more familiar with the Moodle editor so they will not feel so lost after using Microsoft Word and then using the build-in editor.

But TinyMCE looks like a good alternative actually, I'll have to try it. Thanks!
