So, I think I figured it out. Using categories, set up a shell of your quarter and semester calculations for the year. At my school, it would look like this:
Administration block/Grades/Categories and Item/Add a Category...
Sem 1/ Weighted Mean of Grades/ Weight: 50%
Q1/Weighted Mean of Grades/Weight: 20%
Q2/Weighted Mean of Grades/Weight: 20%
Midterm exam/Weighted mean of grades/Weight: 10%
Sem 2/Weighted Mean of Grades/Weight: 50%
Q3/Weighted Mean of Grades/Weight: 20%
Q4/Weighted Mean of Grades/Weight: 20%
Final Exam/Weighted Mean of Grades/Weight: 10%
Then, you nest the other categories for each term:
(So, nest the following categories within Q1)
Q1 Class participation/10%
Do the same for Q2:
Q2 Class participation, etc.
