The editor extends as much as it can and judging by the empty space on the right side of the toolbar the form in your theme allows it to extend. Try reducing the width of the form. In any case the minimum width is the width of the editor toolbar. If you want the editor width to be smaller than the toolbar you can set the width of .htmlarea to the desired, and set overflow .htmlarea .toolbar to auto. This will make the toolbar scrollable. Alternatively you can set the toolbar to display in multiple lines depending on the width you assign to the htmlarea:
