I am in the midst of migrating to a hosted server (from a local) and in the process decided to go ahead and upgrade from Moodle v1.9.3 to v1.9.7.
However, student certificates were no longer loading (Certificate Activity v2008080904). So I downloaded the latest version (v2009080900), renamed the old folder certification_old and copied the new folder over, then logged into the site and went to the Notifications, which comes up blank -- the admin/index.php page has content in it when I open it manually, but it just loads blank when I go to the Notifications link.
If I go to the Manage Activities page, the correct version of Certificate (2009080900) shows, and when I log in as a student, I can now see the certificates. So it is working.
But there is obviously a conflict somewhere, perhaps in the version.php or something. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
