welcome to Moodle!
Put the media either in the same folder as the Hot Potatoes quiz, or in a subfolder of that folder. Make sure that all folder names and file names contain only lowercase English letters, numbers, dash "-", or dot ".", i.e. no spaces, accented European letters or Asian characters. Also, within you Hot Potatoes quiz, be sure to use relative paths to specify the images. Now upload the HP quiz file and the media folder to Moodle.
If that doesn't work, please upload the quiz and media folder to my server, so we can look at it together.
