Background Info:
Ubuntu 9.04 Server – Moodle 1.9.4 – Installed via apt-get install Moodle walkthrough.
It appears that some equations render fine and other, more complex ones render with what looks like a bad TV reception look. I’ve attached a screenshot of my code and how it renders.
As you can see, some render fine, but the more complex one renders with missing lines.
Any ideas for troubleshooting this or if there is a known answer?

I had the same problem. You should use .png instead of .gif.
