I using moodle for a series of courses at my university. As I understand the enrollment policy is global for all the courses in the site. One can use the default internal policy, or use an external database, or the paypal option.
In any case the choice is global. For example I cannot choose to give the possibility of freely subscribing to a course and, at the same time, to choose the subscribers of another course from a database. Or for example to have a set of non institutional courses based on the paypal mechanism and other based on the internal policy.
I see that this is always possible by using an external database and a set of external applications. Anyway, a per-course enrolment policy where the enrolment policy can change on a course basis could be interesting.
Do you think that a similar feature could be implemented in Moodle, and how to implement it. Or is there some other way to circumvent this problem?
