I discovered an interesting little "bug" (at least that's what it seems to be) in the grading reports.
I set aggregation to calcualate using the empty grades so the student sees the true work completed towards the grade. But when I went to the course totals, it seemed that nothing I selected would force the totals to calculate with the empty grades...until I set the Grade to Pass.
Once I set the Grade to Pass for the category for the course itself, the calculations worked great. But why won't it calculate correctly without this? I did a test course with 10 assessment worth 10 points each, no scales, so I could easily see what the calculations were doing.
No grade to pass, it takes the total number of points and calculates the percentage achieved without the empty grades. Grade to pass, it includes the empty grades.
This really needs to get fixed. I'd be willing to bet I'm not the first to notice it, but I couldn't find this exact issue in the Tracker. Where's the best place to post this to get it fixed for both 2.0 and 1.9.7?
