Courses and course formats

I am relatively new to moodle and would like to know the best way of acheiving a task. I want to have a structure like this.

Degree in Computer Science

• Info Tech
• Intro to Programming
• .. other courses
  

Degree in Accounting with Info Tech.

• Info Tech
• Accounts
• .. other courses

but lets say that Info Tech is from the Computer Department how do I link to it from the Computer Science course category and place it under the degree. Can this be done?
