You should be able to set your Front Page view to do this by browsing to Front Page/Front Page Settings in the Site Admin block, then changing the "Front page items when logged in" field to show "List of courses". This will only show enrolled courses, unlike the Combo list which will show all courses.
Beware though - if you're logged in as an admin then it will show all courses - make sure you test it out as a student to make sure it is showing what you want.
Hope this helps,
Thanks for the reply. I've played around with the options and came up with the following scenarios for "List of courses" option as you suggested:
1. admin: see all courses
2. student logged in without enrollment: see all courses under "my courses"
3. students logged in with enrollment: see courses they are enrolled in under "my courses"
4. no login (guest): see all courses under "courses available"
What I was wondering is if there's a way for scenario #2 to see nothing vs. everything? This way logged in users always see what they enrolled in, even if it's nothing (ie no exceptions).
I'd greatly appreciate any insights you can provide on this!
I'd suggest using the My Moodle view, which will restrict the view of students to only the subjects in which they are enrolled. By far the easiest way to achieve what you're after.
Hope this helps,
Good afternoon Mark, I perform an insert to the database moodle crudely, specifically in the table mdl_course. added once I would like to view this course in the front page. And I do not appear.
Example use wizard to create a moodle course and appears in the item Other. then I do it crudely, with an insert in the table mdl_course. Check the Miscellaneous items and it appears that there are 2 courses, but I get the front page only created by the wizard.
Any way to fix that.?
