I'm trying to figure out if this is possible. If I plan on teaching a course and I only want my students to see the calendar and what they're supposed to be doing, how can I accomplish this?
I know i can set up a "weekly" format, but then everything is just pushed in that week, similar to a topic.
Basically, I have 21 different HTML pages that are integrated into moodle as Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc. I wanted to have a course that starts on April 1st and that when they login, they will see their calendar (Day 1) on April 1st. Then, on April 2nd, Day 2 will be released and so on and so forth. However, I don't want them to be able to advance a day without it actually BEING that day (if that makes sense).
I need them to be able to go through the course as I design it.
I know, technically, a way around this would be to just add an even to the calendar on April 1st with a LINK to the HTML page and do that for 21 days, but that's not even using the system at all.
To sum it all up, I'm looking for a way to assign certain resources to certain days of the week. End of story lol.
I've been trying to think of a way you may achieve this but nothing obvious is jumping out at me. You could do it manually by hiding resources and making them visible as necessary but this will be time consuming and only really work if they all sign up on the same day.
