If you have more questions send me an e-mail.
Hi James,
Thanks for your interest in STACK.
If you would like to look at some Sample Questions easily then there are links to working version from our wiki.
http://stack.bham.ac.uk/wiki/index.php/Sample_questions
We also have a lot of materials which are released as open educational resources (under a Creative Commons Licence). These are bundled with the STACK sourcecode and are in the CVS. Again working versions are online at
http://stack.bham.ac.uk/worksheets/
I'm building up a small library of example questions in other areas, including ODEs, complex numbers, matrices, vector calculus etc. I'm always happy to receive materials from colleagues willing to share them.
I hope you find this useful.
Chris

I have Stack going. If you have questions for an avoid user. Send me an e-mail and we can Skype. It is a great tool for teaching mathematics.

I've just begun "playning" around with opaque questions. My problem is that when I add a "potential respond" to add a formative comment the system adds "correct answer" respond to the obviouly wrong answer of the student, and than my respond (something like "u forgot to...")any suggestions? thanks. Dear Chris,
We are experimenting with a STACK installation here at UCL and I'm hunting for example questions - our current installation environment is:
Moodle v1.9.10+ running on
Apache 2.2.17 (Unix)
Ubuntu 6.06
Stack 2.0 running on
Apache 2.2.3
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga)
MySQL databases for both - MySQL 5.0.
I imported a set of example questions that came from a previous install on my local machine but these are not validating - do you happen to know if the example questions with the above distribution, STACK 2, will work?
I also tried to take a look at:
http://stack.bham.ac.uk/worksheets/
but I'm getting SOAP errors on the returned pages.
If you can point me towards any current question sets that work in STACK 2 I would be extremely grateful.
Kind regards
