I apologize for creating a new thread as my first post in this community. We are a reputed Educational institution in India.
We are using Moodle 1.8.3 for over 2 years. Each semester, we were executing a Java Program which takes information from a (non-Moodle)database and inserts appropriate entries in the Moodle Database. But that script is currently not working in Moodle 1.9.7.
The script is for creating new users, teachers, courses and enrol teachers and students to the approriate courses. Everything is done from backend.
My doubt is that:
1. Is there any way of doing this from Frontend. That is writing a PHP code which will submit the form for each student, teacher, Course and their enrolments.
2. Why is the java file which was writtten for Moodle 1.8.3 not working in Moodle 1.9.7. Is there any substantial change, especially with respect to the creation of courses and enrolments of teachers and students.
Actually the java program executes fine. No errors were found.
I get only one error. The student and the teacher is Participant of the course, but not the actual student and teacher of the student.
From admin interface, I could see them as students and teachers. These things happen only when the courses are created throught the backend. If I create new course manually everything works fine. But we have around 600+ courses and around 4K-5K students. If anyone helps it would be of grateful to me as well as for my organization, as we want to upgrade the version from 1.8.3 to 1.9.7.
Thanks in advance.
