Hi there

In the Documentation for the Module it states "... sent to teachers or others when certificates are issued".

I have sent up a Teacher for this Course and set up the following settings

Email Teachers: Yes
Save Certificates: Yes
Delivery : open in new window
....
but the Teacher is NOT being notified when the Certificate is Viewed (or even if the Assessment is taken first)

I am using Moodle 1.7 (and have done the same tests on the latest 1.9) what am I missing ?

Sorry for this basic query but I am new to this smile

Also I notice that on my 1.7 Moolde instance the Teacher is not being displayed (despite it being Assigned) under the Course - why is this?

Another simple fix I am sure!

You may want to call the people hosting your Moodle site to see if emails are being blocked.

I had the same issue. I called Bluehost (the company hosting my Moodle) and they changed their settings so the system no longer send emails if the From: email address is not a valid address.

I submitted a support ticket for this and received this response on 1/20/2010:

We have noticed that there is a bug on the build for the certificate and have created a ticket to have this issue resolved. Please be patient as we attempt to correct this issue.
