Hi All,
Sorry if i am not posting this in the right place.
I am curious to know if anyone has been using turnkey Moodle. I am currently considering updating Moodle in my institution and fancy giving turnkey a try, i think it looks pretty good.
Thanks
Max

I assume you are talking about...
http://www.turnkeylinux.org/moodle
For the uninitiated it's basically a Linux distro with all the bits you need to make Moodle work on the install medium.
I haven't tried it but some thoughts...
* How up to date is the Moodle version?
* It's hardly difficult to install Moodle on most mainstream Linux distributions.
* The hard bits of setting up a Moodle server are almost always nothing to do with Moodle. It's all networking and security issues. Stuff that matters.
* Why would you want to? It's the xampp argument again. These things are great in the right place but they're no substitute for understanding how to administer a secure production server if that's what you are trying to do.
