The Text and Algebra filter was correctly anabled, I see a hiperlink with the TeX notation and the texdebug open each time that I click on It, but I get a message saying that the image has errors.
The text filter is correcly configured and I get a green things at the end of the directory paths.
Could anybody help me?
I´m using Moodle 1.9.7 and WAMP server wint PHP 5.3.1. The magic sybase quote are off.
Every month somebody is asking this same question...
DragMath is not rendering the mathematical notations - it is just giving you the code and you need a separate renderer - for example some local distribution of Latex or Mimetex in folder filter/tex - to render the images. Or asciimathml script to render asciimathml.
The problem is usually that executable files need correct permissions to execute. So if you have enebled tex filter but have not installed or can't use local distribution of Latex (MikTex, teTeX, TexLive etc) moodle tried to use Mimetex from folder filter/tex and depending on the operation system you may need to give file mimetex.exe , mimetex.linux , mimetex.darwin or mimetex.freebsd permission to execute.
Or if you need local distribution of Latex you may need to give the corresponding executable binaries correct permissions or need to use symbolic links to functional files...
Check some previous posts about same issue from this forum and - search field
And to your question about algebra filter /filter/algebra/algebra2tex.pl needs also correct permissions to execute and because it is a sub filter of tex filter it uses executable file of mimetex from folder filter/tex and you may also need a functional perl parser - see for example http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-9252
If checking and setting of permissions and checking of paths or even symbolic links don't work then some setting of php (extra security etc restriction) might prevent creation of new images.
Check also php info from administration menu > Server
Are there any disabled functions that might prevent executing of commands ( disable_functions ... )?
