My course is designed to have 3 blocks of 4 chapters (each with a moodle graded quiz) and then a classroom exam. On the day of the review, I take the current block of chapters offline and then review the answers with the class.
Well, when I take the blocks offline, it appears that my students can't see any results for the offline quizzes and the exam scores I worked so hard to enter.
I know that one solution is to change the dates when a quiz is available. On the otherhand, I see no reason to block students from seeing their scores from earlier work simply because the material was taken offline.
Have I missed something?
Maybe name a visible topic "finished work" and move the quizzes/assignments there when you hide the block they were in.
I think it would be rather confusing if Moodle worked the other way, if you hid something from your students but it was showing up to them in the gradebook?
But yes, where a block is displayed or not, a student should be able to view and scores the've received.
I'm very new to moodle, I'm still just looking at it with interest...
Where can I find this gradebook?
Are students able to see their results from the quiz? If so, how should they do it? I didn't find a way to, so I'm asking...
Thank you in advance
There are a couple of options for a gradebook with Moodle right now.
Micheal Penney is working on the one I am using with classes now. Below is a section from one of his posts.

If you'd like to try the code, it's here:
Before that we used the calculated columns.
Students that take an online quiz have scores entered in the gradebook. They can click on the quiz itself to see the specific score, or they can cick on "grades" to see all their scores.
