Since this is my first post to the moddle community I would like to thank all for your invaluable help!!
What i would like to ask is if i can sort myself(decide which appears first , second and so on) the faq that i have included in a faq-type glossary so that students can read them in a logical order. I know they can do it if they sort them "by date" and then "by creation day", but they have to be told first. Am I missing sth?
Thanks in advance.
The simplest way to do this is to put numbers in front of the entries...this takes some preplanning to get them where you want them, but you can go back in and change them if you want. You put the numbers at the beginning of the Concept box, space and type in the concept/title... if you are going to have them going up to the hundreds, you must begin with 001. If you find you have miscaluated and need to get something between 021 and 022, you can type in 022.5. Students click on the Browse by Alphabet tab and they will be in order.
You could also provide a custom link to your FAQ glossary with the relevant parameters already set, e.g.:
That's a great idea Frank!
Helen, let us know if you need help with that.
I have already implemented Paula's suggestion and it works fine - i have introduced capital letters before each definition, that is, A for the first question,B for the second ,and so on.
I would appreciate, though, some help with frank's suggestion which should be handy ,since the number of questions is bound to increase.
Do i have to tamper with a php. file ???
