I have a Moodle 1.8.2 site, it is being planned to upgrade the OS from Red Hat EL 4.2 to Red Hat EL 4.7..I would like to know if this could cause any issues and how to handle them. Thanks

The sensible way it to get a test machine (or virtual machine) and test the upgrade there first. Once you are confident it will work, then upgrade your live system.
