Hey, adopting the philosophy of Homer Simpson et al could reveal all ! I will be investigating a way of enhancing the 'presentation' for my students (11-18) ...but I will need to do some more research into the spider-diagrams linking their perception of 'study' with the real world....
I cannot express my gratitude enough to Martin for initiating and developing this Moodle project into the world-beater it has become. This is a superb example of a project involving a world community that has blossomed and developed beyond my wildest expectations.
I'm replying to this half a year later, but you got me thinkikng about a dormant idea I'd had before:
There is the learning moodle course we can download and install... but I've often thought it'd be neat to do a VERY small course on some very basic practical topic - which could range from "How cook hard-boiled eggs" or the deluxe version "How to prepare deviled eggs", to basic of driving on the proper (right) side of the road (for Australians and other confused people ).
So I'm hoping to whip up a small course on knots, starting of course with the bowline. It seems there's within that simple concept ample opportunity for demonstrating many (all?) of moodle's activities. (wow, the wind and rain is blowing like CRAZY out my kitchen window!)
I'll keep you all posted! Remember that in the words of the Klutz press book of knots, "the square knot is probably responsible for more deaths than any other..."
