Hi

I have a book setup in a course, i wish this book only to be visible to a certain group. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I have seperate groups enabled at course level, and am using groups successfully for other activities in the course like assignments, quizzes etc

Using Moodle 1.9.3

Yes it is possible but you need to use groupings which need to be enabled site wide - asssign the group you want to see the book to a grouping (in the tab when you go to groups in your course admin) and then assign your grouping to that book.http://docs.moodle.org/en/Groupings#Assigning_an_activity_to_a_grouping
