First of all, I should tell you all I am very new to Moodle. Please don't overlook any "obvious" answers.
I set up an assignment, had my students upload a file. I can view their files, assign grades - and even give feedback. However, those grades and feedback are never emailed to my students. I have also noticed that none of my forum or chat content ever gets email to either my students or myself.
I have looked through the settings and not found the problem. Is there something I need to turn on to make this work?
