I'm starting make a clone of our live moodle site in my localhost which is v1.9.3 upgraded to v.1.9.5+. I do have a backup file of all the data named SQL file. question:
1. How can I able to transfer it to Postgres?
2. Do I need to install MysQl in order to make an Postgres DB?
3. How good is Postgres with regards to performance and data keeping?

Can anyone give me a easy step to get the postgres database?

Novice in MysQl hope there is a kind hearted to help me step by step on this...

Thank YOu,
JB
