i am using moodle for our institute for last 1 yr....now we wnated to show the grades or the attendance report to the respective parents of their pupil.
we have around 600 students...how to asssign parent role here for these students?
can students on their own can configure for their parents?
or is it required to upload all the parents as users of moodle? and then assign them mannualyy for each students...?
can any body tell me...?

The latter actually - they all need to be made users and then assigned manually to their children. There is documentation in the Moodle docs.
Haven't tried it myself, but this was posted this week in a forum...might be worth a shot
