Custom certificate (plugin)

I was doing this but the reporting seems to be an issue. If I send the user directly to the view certificate page, the users are told that they haven't completed the course yet.

It appears that the transfer of the status happens when the page is closed.

Strangely enough, I did not have the issue in a previous version of the course. The certificate used to display fine but I cannot figure out what change could have generated the issue.

Ideally It would be easier if I could send the email once the course id complete even if the user does not go to the cert.
