when using multiple choice questions,
1) can I use mathematical formulas and symbols in both the question and in the options?
For now I did achieve insert symbols and formulas in place the question, I am using DraghMath, ImageMagick and MikTex, but the formula is of larger size,
2) Is it possible to unify the format of text and symbols?

1) yes it's possible to use mathematical formulas and symbols in the quiz. For more info see: http://docs.moodle.org/en/TeX_notation_filter
In Moodle 1.6 or later, the MimeTeX binary is shipped with Moodle for various platforms. Look under /filter/tex/ folder.
