admin shows in participants list but not on log

I have a situation where the admin user is identified in the participants list on the front page as having logged in but the user log shows no activity during that period... Has somebody gotten in and around the logs? Is it possible to log in but not have the activity show up?

Hi Colleen
The only time I have seen this before is when the Admin user logged in as someone else, refer to the discussion here and the Moodle tracker item (MDL-14805) which contains a patch to record this activity.
I'm not aware of any other times logging for the Admin is now shown.
