Clicking responses shows "There are no users yet"

I just upgraded our Moodle to the latest and greatest, but we were already on 1.9.x. With both our older version, and the one we currently have, you can see that there are responses in moodle (EG: view 12 journal entries), but after clicking the link it then states that there are "no users yet". I literally upgraded about five minutes ago. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I found an answer in another forum that worked for me. In the class (under assign roles) the students were assigned as a teacher instead of a student. Once I moved them to the student role, the journals worked fine.

Way late to the party, but having the same issue.

The link shows the correct number of users in the Journal i.e. "View 2 journal entries" but clicking on the link produces a "There are no users yet" message.

Database tables seem in order.

Users are already asigned as 'Student' role.

Any thoughts?

We are using a MSSQL database...
