We have just upgraded our version of Moodle to 1.9.7, I am having the same page appear as blank when I go to assign roles.
Could you please advise as to how you fixed this issue. I note Paul had the same problem and he had an issue with a temp directory. This isn't a problem with us, just wondering if you could shed some light on this.
