student edit of wiki

I have set up the wiki with visible groups. I can access and edit the wiki from my end but when I view it as a student, there is no edit tab. I entered students' names in the square brackets but when I click on the question mark, I'm not able to enter any information. What's wrong?

You haven't mentioned if you have created groups in your course and added your students into them? This may be the problem smile

I'm using no groups feature because we have very few students (around 40) but I'm having the same problem Jeanne has.
The student can edit the wiki but just with plain HTML, no edit tab. Our students are completely noobs at online courses and IT in general terms, so I'm afraid they wouldn't be able to edit the wiki without that tab.

The course has two groups and the student is added in one of it.

I'm testing this out on a replica site, so I'm open to every suggestion, destructive or not! guiño

Hi Jeanne,
not sure what hardware / software you are using, but i get exactly that using Safari or Chrome on my Mac.
Using Firefox I get the edit tab properly, just like on Wintel,
