HTML - strange behaviour

Hi

I've just got an email from one of our moodle users - a student - who's having some problems with the html editor. This is what they said in response to the teacher asking them to check their spelling before submitting their work:

"I have tried to avoid spelling mistakes, but the web site has sometimes technical problems, (keybords are stucked ,freezing? each letter, especially for long words is exchanging)."

Any ideas?

Pete

Hi Pete
This initially sounds like a keyboard error rather than a Moodle issue... have you checked if the student is having problems with other software or websites?

You could also suggest to the student that he/she type the text somewhere else (a text editor) and paste it into the Moodle editor?

I hope this helps
Cheers
Teresa

Thanks, Teresa.

I've actually decided to get some of our students to use the standard web form because we seem to be having a lot of issues with the html editor in terms of how it handles text cut and paste into it from different software programmes.
