Is it possible to turn off email notifications when a file has been submitted using the assignment mod? I've looked in the role and there is no capability for this in the assignment. Version no. 2007101511.

I' m not entirely sure what you mean here - do you just mean that you don't want teachers to be emailed when their students send in their assignments? If so, then that is turned off in the assignment set up page - if you click on the update icon and then scroll down to email alerts to teachers (or something worded like that -can't remember exact phrase off hand).
Hi Ed. when you create a assigment submit a file, you con find an option for that, if i understand your question.
