Is het possible to change the approach:

30 points total, 15 questions, every correct question earns points
to
15 questions. Every mistake deducts one point from total 10. So:
0 mistakes > 10
1 mistake > 9
2 mistakes > 8
etc...
until 9 mistakes which earns a grade 1 (and 10,11,12,13,14,15 mistakes obviously too)

Seems a bit unnecessary (maybe downright bad- what you give attention to tends to increase- more attention to mistakes => more mistakes!) but you could do this:

If you make the quiz feedback so that 100% gets "You've got 10 p"
>=14/15 "you've got 9 p"
....
<5/15 "you've got 0 p"
